What is slower? That’s like asking who takes longer to get from one end of the playground to the other, a toddler or a robot?
Imagine you're on a slide. A toddler might run up the stairs, wobble on the slide, and giggle all the way down, slowly but with lots of fun. A robot, though, might just walk straight to the slide, sit down, and zoom down it like it’s part of a race, fast, but not as much fun.
So, when we say something is slower, we mean it takes more time to do something than another thing.
Time is like candy
Think about eating candy. If you have a big bag of jellybeans and you eat one every minute, that’s slow, like the toddler on the slide. But if you gobble them all in 10 seconds, that's fast, like the robot.
So, what is slower? The thing that takes more time to do something. Just like a turtle taking its time to cross the road, slower than a rabbit zooming by!
