What is straw?

Straw is a long, hollow tube that you can use to drink from, just like a tiny tunnel for your drink!

Imagine you're at a party with lots of juice boxes. If you want to sip your juice without getting it all over your hands, you can put a straw in the top of the box. Then, when you suck on the straw, the juice flows up through the tube and into your mouth, kind of like how water travels through a pipe!

Think about a soda bottle. If it had no lid, the soda would just pour out everywhere. But if it has a lid with a hole, you can put a straw in that hole. When you suck on the straw, you make the air inside the bottle move, and the soda comes up through the straw, like a little drink elevator!
