Symbiosis is when two creatures help each other out, just like best friends working together on a fun project.
Imagine you and your friend both want to build a treehouse. You have the tools, but you don’t have enough wood. Your friend has lots of wood, but no tools. So you share, you give them tools, they give you wood. Both of you get what you need, and the treehouse gets built! That’s symbiosis.
When Symbiosis Happens in Nature
Sometimes animals do this too. Like bees and flowers. Bees collect nectar from flowers to make honey. But when they go from flower to flower, they spread pollen, which is like a special dust that helps flowers have babies. The bee gets food, the flower gets help having more flowers. They’re both happy!
A Little Bit of Symbiosis in Your Life
You might not notice it every day, but you're part of symbiosis too! When you brush your teeth, you're helping your mouth bacteria stay healthy, and they help keep your teeth strong. It’s like a tiny teamwork game going on inside your body!
Symbiosis is all about sharing and helping each other out, just like friends do every day.
