What is tail?

Tail is what you use to follow something from behind, just like when you run after your dog and try to catch up.

Imagine you're playing a game with your friend. You both have pieces of string in your hands, and you start walking forward. The piece of string that's behind you as you walk is your tail. It shows where you've been, it follows you like a shadow from behind.

Think about your dog. When it runs around the house, its tail swings back and forth. That tail helps it balance, just like how your string helps you know where you’ve walked. If your dog stopped moving, its tail would hang still, not swinging anymore. That's because tail is all about movement from behind.
