The Day is when we get to play, learn, and do all our favorite things because the sun comes out and lights up the world.
Imagine you have a big, bright lamp in your room that turns on every morning. That’s kind of like what happens with the sun, it rises in the sky, and poof, it's light outside! We call this time daytime, and it’s when we go to school, run around in the park, or eat our favorite snack.
What Makes a Day?
The sun is like a giant, friendly neighbor who wakes up every morning. When it shines on Earth, we can see everything clearly, your toys, your friends, even the clouds floating by! That’s why we can play and learn so well during the day.
When the sun goes to sleep at night, it's dark, and that's when we rest and dream. But every morning, the sun wakes up again, and the Day starts all over!
So remember: a Day is just the time when the sun says, “Let’s have fun!”
