What Makes a ‘Black Hole’ Different from a Regular Star?

Imagine you're playing with a ball on a trampoline. If the ball is light and bounces easily, it’s like a regular star. But if the ball is really heavy and makes a deep dent in the trampoline, it's more like a black hole. The deeper the dent, the stronger its pull.

What Makes It So Strong?

A black hole has an incredibly strong gravity, much stronger than a regular star. Regular stars are big and bright, but they don’t have gravity so intense that not even light can escape, that’s what makes a black hole special!

What Happens If Something Gets Too Close?
