What's a Desert?
What's a Drought?
A drought is when it doesn’t rain for a long time, maybe months or even years. It happens in places that usually get enough rain, but sometimes the weather just decides to take a break.
Examples
- A desert is like a room that’s never cleaned, it's always dusty and dry.
- A drought is like when your favorite snack runs out for a few weeks, not bad, but you miss it.
- Deserts stay dry all year long, while droughts are just dry spells in places that usually get rain.
