A volcano erupts when pressure builds up inside the Earth. Imagine a soda bottle sealed tight, if you shake it and open it quickly, it fizzes out like lava! Inside the Earth, molten rock (called magma) moves around, and gases get trapped. When the pressure is too much, boom! The volcano erupts with force.
Examples
- A soda bottle that's been shaken up bursts out when opened quickly.
- A pressure cooker explodes if you forget to release the steam.
