Some people are like morning larks, they wake up early and feel energetic. Others are like night owls, they stay up late and work best when it's dark. This happens because of a special timer inside your body called the circadian rhythm.
How It Works
Your body has a kind of clock that tells you when to be awake and when to sleep. Some people’s clocks are set to wake up early, while others’ clocks make them stay up late.
Examples
- A student who loves to wake up early for breakfast and goes to bed by 9 PM is a morning lark. Another student who stays up late playing video games until midnight is more of a night owl.
- Some people are naturally energetic at sunrise, while others only feel alive after the sun has gone down.
- A teacher may have an easy time getting out of bed for class, but a teenager might struggle to wake up before noon.
