New Shepard is Blue Origin’s rocket and capsule team, like a spaceship train that goes up into space and comes back down.
Imagine you're on a really fun roller coaster. It zooms up to the top of the hill, then drops you down, but instead of stopping at the bottom, it takes off again and goes all the way to space! That’s what New Shepard does.
How It Works
New Shepard has two main parts:
- The rocket, which is like a powerful engine that lifts everything up.
- The capsule, where people sit, kind of like a cozy car that holds astronauts or space fans.
When the rocket goes up, it takes the capsule with it all the way to space. Then, once they're high enough, the capsule floats up and away from the rocket, like a hot-air balloon letting go. After a little while in space, the capsule comes back down, just like when you jump off a slide, and lands safely on Earth.
It's like being on a super cool spaceship that goes up to space and then comes back to play again!
