What Makes Them Special?
Think about the smallest grain of sand you can see with your eye. Kingdom Monera members are way smaller than that! They're so small, we need special tools like microscopes to see them.
These tiny microbes don’t have a complicated body, they’re more like simple, one-cell machines. Some of them can even make their own food from sunlight, just like plants do!
Where Can You Find Them?
They live in almost every place you can think of: in the ocean, on your pizza, inside your mouth, and even in the dirt under your toes.
Some of these microbes are helpful, like those that help us digest our food. Others might be not so friendly, they could cause a tummy ache or even a cold!
So next time you feel a little sniffle coming on, remember: it might just be one of Kingdom Monera’s tiny members saying hello!
