Social cohesion is when people in a group work well together and feel connected to each other.
Imagine you're playing with your friends in the park. If everyone shares toys, helps each other on the swings, and laughs when someone falls off the slide, that's social cohesion, it means the group is happy and united.
Like a Puzzle
Think of a group as a big puzzle. Each person is a piece. When all the pieces fit together, the picture looks beautiful and complete. That’s what happens with social cohesion, people fit together nicely so everyone can enjoy the game (or the park, or life).
If one piece doesn’t fit, it might make the whole picture look a little messy. But if most of the pieces are working well, the group still feels happy and strong.
A Happy Team
Social cohesion is like being on a team where everyone wants to win, not just for themselves, but for the whole group. It’s when people listen, help each other, and make sure no one feels left out. That's how friends stay best friends, and how communities grow stronger.
