Why Do Bees Make Honey?

Bees make honey to have food for winter. Imagine you are a bee, and it's summer, there is lots of flowers and nectar to collect. Bees work hard all day to gather nectar from flowers and bring it back to the hive. Then they turn that nectar into honey so they can eat it when it gets cold in the winter and there aren’t any flowers around anymore. It’s like saving up for a rainy day, or a chilly one!
