Sometimes your brain tricks you into thinking a dream is real. When you're dreaming, it feels like you’re living the moment, just like when you're awake. Your brain even starts to believe the things happening in your dream are true because it uses the same parts of your brain that it does when you're actually doing something. That's why dreams can feel so real sometimes.
Examples
- You dream you're flying, but when you wake up, your legs still feel like they were running.
- You think you’re on a rollercoaster, and later you can't remember why you felt so dizzy that day.
