Why Do Patterns Appear in Nature?

Patterns appear in nature because things grow and repeat. Like when you stack oranges, they always form neat circles, that's a pattern. Or think of how leaves on a plant grow around the stem like clock hands. Patterns help things fit together nicely and make life easier for plants and animals.
