Some foods taste better to some people because their brains like them more. Like how you might love chocolate while your brother hates it, it all starts with your brain sending messages about what tastes good and what doesn’t. Your brain uses special messengers called neurotransmitters to say, 'I like this!' or 'This is too sour!' The foods we eat most are the ones that make our brains feel happy.
Examples
- Your friend loves pizza because it tastes sweet and salty, that makes their brain happy!
- You might hate broccoli because its bitter flavor makes your brain say, 'No thanks!'
- Some people choose chocolate ice cream over vanilla just because it feels more rewarding to them.
