When your body gets cold, it starts to shake, that's called shivering. Shivering is like a mini dance party inside your muscles. Every time your muscles move, they warm up the blood around them, helping your whole body get back to a nice, cozy temperature. It’s like when you’re chilly and start jumping in place to feel better, only your body does it automatically!
Examples
- You’re outside on a winter day, and your legs start to shake, it’s your body warming itself up!
- Your friend is freezing inside the classroom, so they start jumping around like they're dancing.
- You get out of the shower in the morning, and you can't stop shivering, your body is working hard to warm you back up.
