Smartphones get hot because they work really hard when you're using them. Just like a person gets warm after running, your phone gets warm after doing lots of things at once, like playing games or taking photos. The brain of the phone (called a chip) works super fast and makes heat as it goes. The battery also gets hot because it’s giving energy to all these parts.
Examples
- Your phone gets warm like a toaster after you make toast.
- It feels hot like your hand after holding a cup of hot chocolate for too long.
- When you're playing games, it's like the phone is working out and sweating.
