Some people are like little birds, they wake up when the sun comes out and feel sleepy when it sets. Others are more like cats, who like to nap during the day and become super active at night. This happens because of a special clock inside our bodies called the circadian rhythm.
Examples
- A bird wakes up at sunrise, ready for a long day of singing. A cat sleeps through the morning and becomes active at night.
- One child gets excited about going to school because it starts early, while another prefers staying up late playing video games.
- Some people feel tired after lunch but get more energy as the day goes on.
