Why Do We Have ‘Seasons’ and Why Do They Change?

The Earth spins around the Sun, and sometimes we’re closer to it, or farther away. Imagine you're on a merry-go-round with your friend holding a flashlight (the Sun). When you're closest to the flashlight, it feels brighter and warmer, that's summer! When you're farthest away, it feels cooler, that's winter. As the Earth turns around the Sun, we get different seasons.
