Why Do We Have So Many Different Kinds of Languages?

Imagine all the people in the world speaking the same language, it would be like everyone having only one color to paint with. But over time, people started moving and meeting new groups, so they began changing their words, sounds, and ways of talking. That’s how many languages came to be!
