We feel safer in groups because there are more people to help. When you're with a group, even if they're strangers, it feels like you have more protection from danger. Like when you're walking home at night and see someone else walking with you, suddenly, you both feel braver!
Examples
- Walking home with a group of kids at night feels safer than walking alone.
- Joining a new class with other students helps you feel braver and friendlier to them.
