It's Like a Big Game of Bounce
When a spaceship lands on the Moon, it has to slow down just right. If it goes too fast, it crashes. If it slows down too much, it might float away like a balloon. This is called "the landing dance."
Also, the Moon doesn’t have air, no wind or weather to help guide the spaceship. So, the spaceship has to do all the work by itself, using rockets and computers that are smart but not too smart.
The Road Back Is Long
Once you land, getting back is also tricky! It's like going up a slide while wearing socks, easy going down, hard going up. That’s why space agencies take so much time to plan each landing, they want everyone to come home safely.
