Why the Jar Is Emptying
- Your cat isn’t eating enough: It’s like if you forgot to put new cookies in the jar.
- It's using too much energy: Maybe it's playing a lot or running around like a superhero.
- It might be sick: Something inside its body is working harder than usual, like when you feel tired after having a cold.
What Could Be Making It Sick
- A tummy bug: Like when your stomach hurts and you don’t want to eat.
- Pain or discomfort: Imagine if your shoe was too tight, you wouldn’t want to walk much.
- Old age: Sometimes, cats get slower and need more help to stay full.
Each of these reasons is like a different kind of cookie jar problem. By looking at what’s happening in the jar, how many cookies are going in or out, we can guess why it's getting lighter!
Examples
- Your cat might be losing weight if it's stressed or has an infection.
- Weight loss in cats can happen when they're older and start to have trouble digesting food.
